Tigger has been with us now for 3 years. I found him and his two siblings; Grayiam and Lyla in the barn when they were 4 weeks old and they all had the Rhino (cold). I was able to catch them though they were quite feral. They now enjoy being part of the household at Teja's. Tigger is extremely affectionate and very playful.

Grayiam was born in the barn to a feral mom. He and two of his siblings had the rhino (cold) so bad that without immediate medical help, they would not have survived. It did not help that their Mom had taught them to fear humans but I managed to grab them as they went past me. They were only a couple of weeks old. I was able to treat them successfully. Now Grayiam, Tigger, and Layla are full grown cats and enjoy life to the fullest.

Monsieur Le Gris was brought to Teja's 3 years ago. He had been living in a warehouse in Lachine and was no longer welcome. Monsieur Le Gris accompanies me back and forth to the barn as I do chores. In the winter, he sits on the hay on the toboggan as I go from paddock to paddock. He gets paid in kibbles and gets lots of love. "Thank you Monsieur Le Gris for all your help".

Dakota a young male cat showed up at Teja's two winters ago. He was accepted immediately by the colony of barn cats. Last summer, my friend and neighbour told me about a grey and white cat that visited her frequently. She mentioned that he looked an awful lot like my Dakota. One day, she invited me to see the cat that she had befriended and had managed to lure into the house. Lo and behold, there in her kitchen was my Dakota. I was thrilled to see him living in a warm and loving home. I have tried unsuccessfully to bring stray cats into the house but they never stay, most probably because of the large population of cats that live in the house. My friend had to help her 18 year-old cat go over the Bridge a short time before the appearance of Dakota. Although she misses her old cat very much, Dakota helps ease the pain of her loss.
