Amelia Airhart, is a 6-year-old German Shepherd mix. When she was 8 weeks old, she was brought to an adoption clinic with her mother and her brother. Her mother got adopted but not the puppies. Her brother caught the Parvo virus and by the morning had sadly passed away. That day Amelia went out the front door, under the fence and got hit by a car. She was taken to the vets and was fitted with a cast on her right front leg. I adopted Amelia because it broke my heart to see her wobbling amongst all the dogs at the shelter.

Angus MacTavish came to Teja's from an animal shelter. He has been with us now for 7 years. He loves stuffed toys and carries them around with him everywhere he goes. He is a big goofy dog who makes the best out of life.

Blaze, is now going on 6 years of age and is the youngest of our canines. He was left in someone's backyard when they packed up and moved away. He was only 3-months old. Blaze has always suffered terribly from separation anxiety. He never understood why this happened to him, and he only wants to make sure that it never happens again. He sleeps in bed with me with his head on my arm to ensure that I won't leave without him.

Ben is a 7-years-old Boxer mix St-Bernard. He and his 7 litter mates were brought to an animal shelter in the trunkof a car, at the age of 5 weeks, during the Ice Storm of '98 by a drug addict who had cut their tails with scissors to make them look more Boxer, for the purpose of selling them for drug money. A vet was called in immediately and in spite of all the medical care, six puppies died. I took Ben when he was 7 weeks old. He was heck on wheels. He had issues even at this young age, and he has had no problem letting it be known to this day. Ben was totally revolted about what happened and who wouldn't be?

Dawson, 2 year-old Beagle was found wandering alone in front of St-Vincent de Paul on Main St. without a human. I managed to find his owners. They both worked all day and did not have much time for him and agreed to let him come to Teja's. He was accepted straight away by all the others and has become the leader of the pack.
