Teja's Animal Refuge was founded by Nicole Joncas in 1992. We became incorporated on January 21, 2004. We received our for non-profit charitable status this February 12, 2005 thus allowing us to issue receipts for income tax purposes.

Our purpose is to come to the aid of all animals. If we cannot take an animal our objective is to find this animal a loving home by networking with other rescues. We presently have over 60 animals who would most probably not be alive today were it not for Teja's. Each of our animal's life story can be read on our website. Hope you'll enjoy visiting this site. My future goal is to have all these stories published one day.

We are always looking for sponsors for our animals to help defray the costs of feed, medicine, hay, straw, blacksmith, and veterinary care. We at Teja's have no problem doing the physical labour of looking after the animals but it is with your financial support that we can continue to provide the good care that they deserve.
